Quiche Lorraine

Well as you can see the Quiche turned out really well and was very yummy so give it a try. It is a very easy recipe.

Reviews

It was suggested to me that I should review and recommend different sites and blogs. I decided that this would be a good idea. I added two sites to my favorite links section. I added Food Network because they are not only my fav tv network but they have a lot of wonderful recipes including the barbeque meatloaf I posted on here. Campbell kitchen is a very well put together site in my opinion. It is easy to navigate and they have tons of recipes. They also have a lot of cool tips and features so this is one to check out if you haven't already. I ask that you please leave comments as you check out my blog if you can especially if you try a recipe and like it. Thanks in advance.

Changes to blog

I have added a music player to the bottom of the blog, so feel free to enjoy your favorite tunes while reading my blog. I am planning on going to different recipe sites and when I find a good one I will try and add a link for it so that you all can check it out.

Barbeque Meatloaf courtesy of Paula Dean (foodnetwork.com)

Here is the first recipe hope you enjoy, I know I did.

Barbeque Meatloaf

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup bread crumbs
1 onion diced
1 egg lightly beaten
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
3 tablespoons vinegar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons dijon mustard
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup water to thin sauce if necessary

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Mix together the beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup tomato sauce. Form this mixture into a loaf and place it in a shallow pan. Stir together the remaining tomato sauce,
vinegar, sugar, mustard, worcestershire and the water (if too thick). Pour this sauce over the meatloaf. Bake for 1 hour, basting every 15 minutes with the pan juices.

When I made this recipe I doubled it so I could have Meatloaf sandwiches. I used 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, and 1 1/2 ground pork. I substitted sauteed portabella mushrooms for the onion.
I placed mixture in loaf pans and poured the sauce on top in pans, and never basted it. It turned out really well, and made really good meatloaf sandwiches. MAKE SURE TO COOK TO AN INTERNAL TEMP OF AT LEAST 165 DEGREES F.

Update

I probably havent been on here for almost two years. Just thought I would start to actually use this blog. Each week I am going to post a recipe on here. If anyone wants to submit a recipe to be added ask me for my email so that u can send it to me. I think this will be a good way for everyone to share there favorite recipes.
